No, I do not use Mint/MATE. I have tried and failed. I can't render it
properly visible. How on earth am I supposed to type out and send a bug
report? I have told you what my initial and main problem was, and suggested
that you should report it. Have you done so?

I try to. When Timothy asked me to report a bug I immediately did so.

This is becoming ad hominem and very unpleasant. Also totally unmerited. I
have tried to give you reasons, entirely rational ones, both for my dislike
of MATE and for my liking for TDE.

What help do you think that I do not give to projects I do use that I ought to
give them? I do try quite hard to contribute within the limits of my
ability.
