I just booted openSUSE 10.0, which was released same month as Breezy 5.10. I
didn't see anything that looks like what you describe in its KDE 3.4.2b
version of KCalc 1.8.1, or in 10.2/3.5.5/2.0.5 from a year later, or in
11.0/3.5.9/2.0.6 from June 2008.
