I had been trying to stay out of this, but have to agree.  Please keep the
list on topic; it does no good whatsoever to have these accusations flying
around dividing people.

I was once told that discussing politics poisons the atmosphere for some
time in technical circles.  Looking at the mailing list lately,
unfortunately I can see this in action.
