There were many attempts, but nothing usable so far except: Nokia N9 based
on Maemo - so it is Maemo that you are asking for. However Nokia dropped
the project and sold its soul to Microsoft, which led to establishing Jolla
based on Sailfish OS which is the successor of Maemo.

I have also seen the mozilla/firefox OS on a mobile, but it was ugly as
described in the forums.

I'm not aware of dedicated support by TDE to those OS, but as Maemo/Nokia N9
was based on debian and I expect Sailfish OS to be the same, it could be
that the packages for armhf would work.

It is indeed an interesting question.

My Nokia N9 works great, however never thought of trying mess up with
additional packages - it's just a phone - and what is on it, works very
well.
