Thanks for that, Dan. I'm sorry - I am either expressing myself very badly,
or being very thick or both. I have also not given enough information. That
usually happens when I try to be succinct.

TDE 3.5.13.2 on Debian Wheezy.

Gmail refused to accept Icedove for IMAP on the grounds that it wasn't secure
enough. So I downloaded Thunderbird. I was able to set up Gmail IMAP
successfully. But there was no mouse-accessible way of launching it.

I managed to get an icon shortcut on the Desktop, then turned my attention to
getting it in the menu. kappfinder didn't find it. So I created an entry in
the menu with the Menu Editor. But I can find no way of putting an icon
beside the entry.

This is a dry run for TDE 14 on Wheezy, so the problems and solutions might
not be the same anyway. But I would like to complete the dry run.

And the only way I can find to get at the menu editor is to add an icon to the
panel and right click on it - very tedious. :-( Is there a better way? If
so, what?

Thanks, again,
Lisi
