Nice theory. Power outages longer than momentary here average about 4X-5X as
long as UPS battery charge. It's been years since I enjoyed as much as 200
days uptime. UPS batteries here average little more than 802 days between
need to replace them. 3 times in the past 36 months I've had them expire
*during* their warranty periods. I spend more on UPS batteries and UPSes than
on PCs, but in part that's because they protect the power supplies and
motherboards from derelict power company service.
