The Jessie you installed is Debian.  The "Jessie" on the live CD is not 
Jessie, but Devuan-Jessie.  They are not the same thing.  

David, I like and admire your work ,but you really should not mislead people 
into thinking that your live CD is Jessie, and therefore Debian.  I have 
looked on the Devuan site, and they do not call it Jessie.  They call it 
Devuan-Jessie.  Which is where I got the name from.  We all know, but as you 
see newcomers do not.
