Is anybody able to point me at the relevant patch? Otherwise i'll have a

Yes, this is autoconf with Trinity 3.5.12. The autoconf patches from my
3.5.10 rpm's mostly seem to fix the build issues. There is still some 
fiddling about to get the core packages to build, if you look at my post 
dated 18 Jul 2011 12:50 on this thread:

i've described the procedure. It's not exactly ideal, but it seems to 
work...
