Yes, I think that's what happened. I've downloaded and installed a newer DVD 
image. TDE is installed too - although I had to search for, download and 
install several dependancies that where not on the DVD (and yes I had 
selected non-free), did not even seem to be on the mirrors.

That let me feel back some 15 years ago when I stuggled to install my first 
Linux distributions :)

Anyway its done, now I still have some tuning to do and try using Mageia as my 
main system.
